Gap at CET Jordan: Intensive Arabic Language

Travel to Jordan for this fun, exciting program in the Middle East! Go on a gap year in Amman and build your Arabic language skills through a broad range of activities inside and outside the classroom. Take intensive classes, stay in a fully furnished apartment with a Jordanian roommate, attend weekly meetings with a language partner, commit to a part-time language pledge, and volunteer with a local organization!

Engage in extensive practice, preparing you for an official Oral Proficiency Interview at the end of the term. This is perfect for adding to a school application or résumé. By the time your first semester in college rolls around, you'll have the tools and knowledge to test your foreign language requirements or continue to thrive in Arabic classes.

You’ll be placed into an appropriate level of Modern Standard Arabic and Jordanian Dialect. Plus, you’ll have weekly check-ins with on-site staff (in English) for extra support and community building.
