In Diablo 4 Season 1, the main new mechanic to increase your character's power is by farming or crafting Malignant Hearts in your quest with Cormond to put an end to the corruption spreading across Sanctuary. Sorcerers, just like the other classes, have some class-specific Malignant Hearts to farm.

This article quickly outlines the Sorcerer Malignant Hearts in Diablo 4, including their stats, types, and effects so you can plan your new, seasonal character build.

D4 Sorcerer Malignant Hearts: Stats, Effect & Socket Type

It is important to note that the stats for Sorcerer-specific Malignant Hearts, as shared by Blizzard, are for drops with level 20 characters. When the item drops, these stats grow in power the higher your character level at the time. If you craft one, it will roll at the same level as your character.

Please note: The Sorcerers can also use the 12 general Malignant Hearts for all classes.

These items cannot be traded. With all the disclaimers out of the way, let's take a look at the four Sorcerer-specific Malignant Hearts in Diablo 4 via the table below.

Sorcerer HeartSocket TypeEffect/Stats Range
Tal’RashaVicious, OffensiveFor each unique element you deal damage with, you deal 7-12% increased damage for 3-10 seconds.
SpellbreakingBrutal, DefensiveAfter taking Elemental damage, gain 20-40% Resistance to that element for 5 seconds.
SpiteDevious, UtilityWhen you are afflicted with a Crowd Control effect, there is a 20-40% chance that the same enemy and enemies around you are also afflicted with the same effect for 3 seconds.
OmnipowerWrathful, SuperCore Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0%.

The Wraftful, super-powered Omnipower Malignant Heart can only be acquired in World Tier 4 (Torment) difficulty, while the reset can be farmed in any difficulty level. You can get Malignant Hearts in Malignant Tunnels or out in the world of Sanctuary as you slay the followers of Lilith, who have been "corrupted."
